Awusa focuses specifically on figures – whether they be of men brainstorming and deliberating before arriving at a consensus or of women with babies strapped to their backs busy at some task. However, regardless of who the figure is and their actions within the artwork, the figure is held to the utmost importance. He captures these beautiful emotions mostly in oils, but he has been known to use charcoal, pastel, watercolours and acrylics. Awusa strives to create engagement and passion in his paintings.
